Mad Hatter Studios

Though the website for Mad Hatter Studios is currently offline for 'maintenance', the studio is listed as being a client of Visual Edge Designs of Clearwater, FL. The studio was purchased by Golden Area Productions from Chick Corea in 2003.

Freewinds

Freewinds, the cruise ship operated by the Scientologists, was built in 1968 and has had numerous problems ever since. Originally built to be used in a ferry service between Bremerhaven and Harwich, the ship was soon sold to Wallenius Lines and chartered to Commodore Cruise Lines to be used in the Caribbean. Named Boheme, her first voyage with paying passengers from Stockholm to Miami ended abruptly when she hit an underwater cliff ithe Stockholm Archipelago, breaching the hull and fuel tanks. After repairs, she again set out for Miami but without passengers. During 1968, her first year fo service in the Caribbean, problems cropped up with the air conditioning system. After being used as a Caribbean cruiser for a number of years by another compnay, she was sold in 1986 to San Donato Properties Corporation to be refitted as a cruiser for the Scientologists.

Lawrence Woodcraft, an architect and former Scientologist was involved in the original conversion of the ship in 1987 and reported in 2001 that there was blue asbestos present on board the vessel, though the Scientologists denied that there was any problem. In 2008, during a routine drydock for maintenance in Curacao, the blue asbestos was dtected by work crews and the vessel was sealed.

The ship has also come under fire for its excessive dumping of waste water at Bonaire.

Trementina Base
